ABOUT The film

During a series of road trips in the summer of 2021, I discovered a "lifestyle podcast" featuring a happily married couple sharing their journey of opening up their relationship.

Over long stretches of highway, I found myself captivated by their stories—seven years of experiences condensed into seven days of listening. What struck me wasn't just their monthly adventures, but the deeper transformation: how this alternative approach had strengthened their communication, authenticity, self-esteem, and intimacy in ways I hadn't expected.

As I explored more podcasts about consensual non-monogamy, similar themes emerged again and again. These couples weren't just talking about sex—they were describing profound improvements in their relationships. It got me thinking about my own partnership.

When I returned home, I shared my revelation: "What fascinates me isn't just the physical aspect, but the kind of passionate, authentic connection these couples have cultivated."

That insight launched a new journey. I hit the road again, this time with a camera, to interview individuals, couples, therapists, sexologists, relationship coaches, podcasters, and authors across the country. I wanted to understand how practices that challenge everything we're taught about monogamy could actually strengthen relationships and personal growth.

This documentary explores these questions without explicit content, designed for curious adults seeking to understand an often-misunderstood aspect of human relationships.
